Description
Oxandrolone, first introduced in the early 1960s under the trade name (Anavar)by GD Searle & Co., was initially promoted for its therapeutic benefits. However, in 1989, it nearly disappeared from the market due to FDA pressure and increasing regulation of anabolic steroids. In 1995, Anavar re-emerged and has since become one of the most popular and widely-used oral anabolic steroids, known for its mild nature and minimal side effects, making it suitable for both men and women.
Anavar is primarily prescribed to prevent muscle loss and frailty caused by aging, surgery, infection, trauma, and other catabolic conditions. It is also effective in treating prolonged corticosteroid use and osteoporosis by promoting bone density. With a high anabolic rating of 322-630, Anavar is 3-6 times stronger than testosterone, but this doesn’t directly translate to dramatic muscle gains. As a result, Anavar is not ideal for bulking cycles aimed at massive size gains but is highly favored for cutting cycles. Its ability to burn fat while preserving lean muscle makes it particularly popular among both male and female athletes, especially women, due to its milder effects compared to stronger anabolic steroids.
